Samir Hmeidani, director of HMEIDANI ALUMINIUM, began his career working alongside his father in the glass business at the age of 14. He learned everything there was to know about installing glass on wood and steel-framed windows.
When aluminum window technology began to take off around the 1960s, he realized that his future would be working with the silver metal. Soon after, he ventured on his own, starting out at one of the leading aluminum companies in Beirut. After several years, he worked his way up to the position of operations manager.
In 1975, Mr. Hmeidani opened the doors of HMEIDANI ALUMINIUM, a small 150 sqm fabrication workshop for aluminum doors and windows with just three employees. The company also worked with rolling shutters, glazing, and false ceilings. Mr. Hmeidani and his company quickly grew to be recognized as industry leaders within Lebanon.
In 1990, after the war in Lebanon ended, the company began to expand significantly by tracking market needs and adding international systems to its line of fabrication. In 2000, HMEIDANI ALUMINIUM took on larger projects, such as being commissioned in 2002 to create railings for the famous Corniche, a seaside promenade in the Beirut Central District.
In 2003, with the help of his sons, the company evolved into PROFITECH-HMEIDANI ALUMINIUM, expanding the original company and advancing its projects. By 2010, the company, now known as PROFITECH, had moved to a new plant with its office in the BCHAMOUN INDUSTRIAL ZONE and expanded its operations across the country, with projects also in Africa.
